KVS Admission 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria
I want to tell you that Kendriya Vidyalaya are from class 1 to 12, hence admission starts from class 1. Admission in class 1 is given through online medium and lottery system. Admission for classes 6th and 11th is done through entrance exam. As it is very important for the girl students to know that since last year the entrance exam was conducted for admission in 9th class in Delhi. - Class 1: By March 31, 2024, the child must be five years old, but no older than seven. Accordingly, the child should be born between April 1, 2017, and March 31, 2019.
- Class 2 to Class 8: There is no entrance test for these levels. With every consecutive class, the age requirement rises gradually by one year. A child registering for Class 2, for instance, should be at least six years old but not older than 8, and so on.
- Class 9: There is an entrance exam required for admission to this class and student must have passed 8th class.
- Class 10: No direct admission for students to Class 10
- Class 11: The marks of the board examinations for Class 10 will determine the admission to Class 11. There are many streams available, including Science, Commerce, and Humanities, each with requirements based on grades or CGPA.
